Prepaid Fuel Card - Seaoil's Brings Back Price Lock Prepaid Fuel Card

Prepaid Fuel?

GMAnews.tv reported that Seaoil Philippines Inc. is bringing back its prepaid fuel card that locks gasoline price at Php 52 per liter for two months.

Seaoil's Price Lock Prepaid Fuel Card cost Php 1, 040 - good for 20 liters. The card may only be used in Metro Manila from March 9 - May 15.

The said prepaid fuel card protects motorists from the frequent increase in petroleum fuel prices. In the event of fuel price roll back, those who bought the card will get the cash amount of the prepaid card.

Reports did not say, however, how the prepaid fuel card works. Or maybe it is just a one time used prepaid card.

Hopefully, other companies will emulate Seaoil and that LoadXtreme will also offer such prepaid fuel cards in the future.

Red Mobiles own UNLITXT COMBO Prepaid Cellphone Service

Early this morning, I saw Red Mobile's UNLITEXT COMBO Ad on Inquirer Libre.

I seldom see their ads but there maybe some readers of this blog who uses Red mobile sims.

For only P10, Red Mobile subscribers can enjoy:

  • unlimited texts/SMS to fellow Red Mobile Subs
  • 10 minutes call to Smart Subs
  • 20 texts to ALL networks.

This service can be availed by sending/texting COMBO10 to 9949. This service also has a P20 version.

I'm not sure but I feel that Red Mobile didn't really left off. In fact, I do not personally know anyone who uses a Red mobile sim. Or maybe my colleagues are just the low-priced-cellphone-kind. LOL! Just joking. Initially it was available only for 3G handsets which is pricier than ordinary cellphone. Maybe this is not so anymore.

Anyway, this combo cellphone products is now common to all networks. I guess Sun Cellular is pioneer with these kind of cellphone services.

My tweets via AllTxtComboPlus of Smart Buddy

Here are my tweets via Smart Buddy's AllTxtCombo Plus:

AllTxtCombo Plus can be used to tweet or update FB status using ordinary cellphones.

It's good that not having a smartphone or wifi-capable phone is not a hindrance in accessing social media sites like Facebook, Twitter & Friendster.

Next up, I will use my alltxtcomboplus for FB updates. :)

Smart Buddy is riding on the social media explosion by offering its ALLTxtComboPlus prepaid cellphone product.

This product allow Smart Subsribers to post updates to their Facebook/Twitter/Friendster accounts using ANY mobile phone via texting or SMS.

Costs only 25 pesos and good for one day.(1 Peso prepaid credit maintaining balance needed).

alltxtcomboplus - update facebook/twitter/friendster via any CP

Here are the info I gathered when I texted PLUS to 2526.
Step 1: Visit www.smart.com.ph/buddy/alltxtcomboplus to link your cellphone to your Facebook/Twitter/Friendster account.

Step 2: Avail of the ALLTxTComboPlus by texting FB25 to 2526. ( 25 Peso Prepaid Cellphone Credits needed) You will get 100 Smart SMS/MMS + 10 all-network SMS + 5 mins (Call) + 40txts to either Facebook or Twitter or Friendster.

Promo is until October 31.

Smart did an ingenious way of maximizing social network and mobile service. To avail of the service, you will be required to register your Smart CP number, and add Smart to your social media account.

I tried the ALLTxtComboPlus for my twitter account. As I understand it, I am given 10 times to post tweets via text and will receive 30 notifications when there are tweets from people I follow.

For me to send TWEETs, I must txt TW [tweet] & send it to 2526. To check my texts to twitter, I need to send ETXT to 2526. 1 Peso balance is needed.

Ordinary mobile phones can now be used for Social media just like smartphones. I think majority of Filipinos still uses ordinary mobile phones. And this service would be truly awesome if you can access all 3 or other social media accounts in one registration only.

But this is still a nice move from Smart. Globe, Sun are you reading this?

TM's ALLNETCOMBO can make Dual-SIM Cellphones Unnecessary

Touch Mobile's or TM's All Net Combo is probably the first mobile product that covers all mobile networks.

As the name suggest, it is a mobile product that can be used to other networks aside from Touch Mobile and Globe.

I first heard of TM's ALL NET COMBO while riding the MRT yesterday morning.

With this mobile product, a TM subscriber can send 100 texts/SMS and enjoy 10 minutes talk time to subscribers of TM and other networks - Globe, Sun, Smart, Talk 'N Text and Red Mobile for only Php 25.

Previous cellphone products that I know of are mainly for the same mobile network and its affiliates. Normally, the bulk of mobile products can be used to same network and only a tiny portion can be used to different network subscribers. For example, Globe's Immortal TXT only allows 75 to TM & Globe subs and only 10 text/sms to other networks.
As I understand it, TM's ALL NET COMBO's 100 text is cumulative to all networks. As for the 10 minute call, it can be used as a one time 10-minute call or divided to several calls. Call duration below 1 minute is still considered as 1-minute call.

To enjoy this mobile/cellphone product, a TM subscriber only need to send the keyword ALLNETCOMBO to 8888. After a confirmation message, the service can be immediately used. The service is good for 24 hours.

If this kind of mobile product becomes common to other network as well, then having different sim cards to take advantage of different mobile products isn't necessary.

And as in any new prepaid cellphone product, I wish LoadXtreme would offer this product.

Globe IMMORTALTXT Revived until June 30, 2010

Another prepaid cellphone product enjoying major air play in the radio these days is Globe's IMMORTALTXT prepaid text service.

Globe is offering back this text product until June 30, 2010.

My girlfriend loves to use this product and I'm sure other Globe subscribers would enjoy this, too.

Globe's IMMORTALTXT Service
Info & Image taken from this SOURCE.

Globe's IMMORTALTXT is named so because it has no expiry. For just 20 pesos, prepaid mobile subscribers of Globe, can send 75 texts or sms to Globe or TM mobile subscribers. Plus, 10 messages can also be sent to other mobile networks. But a subscriber must maintain 5 peso prepaid load balance to enjoy this text product.

To avail of Globe's IMMORTALTXT, one need to buy load at least 25 pesos-worth of prepaid credits. Then, send the keyword IMMORTAL20 to 8888 and remember to maintain the remaining 5 peso balance.

I wish this would be a fixed text service that will be offered by Globe. I am sure LoadXtreme will be interested to add this to its products that retailers like us can sell to prepaid mobile subscribers.

SUN Unlimited MIX 25 or 100

Since I bought my cherry mobile phone, I had taken the habit of listening to its radio feature.

My favorite radio station frequently advertises Sun Unlimited Mix prepaid cellphone product these past few days.

All of these good for one day for only 25 pesos.

Sun prepaid cellphone subsribers need only to go to their nearest prepaid cellphone load retailer for this product or load 25 Php worth of regular load and then text UMIX 25 to 247.

Unable to dispense Sun Broadband 50

Yesterday, an officemate approached me if I sell Sun products. Hesitantly, I said yes.

In the past, I had encountered problems selling Sun products. Until I decided to stop doing so entirely. Good thing most of my customers are either Globe or Smart subscribers.

In this specific case, I tried to dispense Sun Broadband 50. One of the newest products of loadxtreme based on the latest price list I got from the Vmobile office. I was also encouraged to see the website indicating that all networks are up.

Unfortunately, the load never came. I have no confirmation or notification whatsoever.

I am not sure if the problem is on loadxtreme's end or on Sun. Either way, I would never try loading this product again.

Prepaid Electricity, Electric Meter on the Works

We are definitely familiar with prepaid load credits, prepaid internet dial-up cards, prepaid broadband and a vast array of other prepaid products.

How about prepaid electricity?

The ERC or Energy Regulatory Commission is on experimental phase and talking with stakeholders to implement prepaid retail electric service (PRES).

The service is intended to allow residential customers to purchase credit and then use electricity until such time when all the credits are utilized.

Wow ! I do hope Vmobile and Loadxtreme would offer prepaid electric credits once this service has materialized.
