My Blue Nokia Asha 501

A few days later after my Nokia C2 cellphone showed signs of malfunctioning, I have read about Nokia's latest release of eye-candy smartphones, the Nokia Asha 501 at Yugatech.

The Nokia Asha 501 design really caught my interest. But it took over a month of deciding before I finally own one, one that I consider my very first smartphone.

Owning a smartphone had me thinking about starting a new blog, since this very dear blog covers mainly cellphone. But some frustrations before buying one and the initial disappointments had me thinking twice in abandoning this dear blog of mine in lieu of a new one covering smartphones.

It took a while before the blue Nokia Asha 501 became available as per the representatives from the Nokia Center at Cyberzone, Megamall. So, when it finally became available, I immediately tagged my GF, to use her credit card. Sorry, budget advisors. My urge to get this smartphone is really strong, I had to resort to credit.

However, I was disappointed that it does not come with 40 EA games packaged in other Nokia Asha models. Secondly, I was not able to use it immediately since it requires a microsim.

But these did not dissuade me from pushing through with the purchase.

Anyway, I will be chronicling my experience in using my Nokia Asha 501, both good and bad, here in this blog.

My Next Mobile Phone? Nokia Lumia Looming

With my recent return to using Nokia cellphones, it is easy to imagine myself owning a Nokia Smartphone. Recommendations from my blogging community - Nuffnang - certainly will be among my priority considerations. Nuffnang introduced me to Nokia smart phone models: Nokia Lumia 620, 820 & 920.

What struck me the most on my first glance with these Nokia Lumia models 620 & 820 is its superb camera features while Nokia Lumia 920 boggles my mind with its wireless charging feature. Wow!

I bet that the way I capture images or videos will be greatly aided by any of these Nokia Lumia models. That will surely bring my social media activity in turbo mode if I can share great pictures and videos.

Admittedly, these Nokia smartphone models do not come cheap. Even this early, I can imagine myself salivating into owning any of these models while sweating on coming up with payment scheme that will not adversely affect my budgeting.

However, if stores like Abenson can provide me with promos like this one,

Owning any them is becoming close to reality.

Newest Nokia Smartphones- Nokia E7 Shipped Out Today

I read from the Nokia official blog that they are shipping the latest Nokia Smartphone, the Nokia Smartphone E7, starting today. As big Nokia mobile phone fan, I can't help but drool.

My favorite mobile/tech/gadget blog, Yugatech, said that the Nokia E7 is the first Nokia smartphone that has a huge touch screen.

Nokia, is probably succumbing to Apple/Google smartphone design that offers lots of touchscreen real estate. Read Yugatech's take about this Nokia smartphone here.

I hope that it will arrive soon here in the Philippines, so that I can see the Nokia E7 closer and see if stands out among earlier released Nokia smartphones.
